Dream Cruise

Don't forget Dream Cruise weekend is the 20th, 21st and 22nd of August!! If you want to stock up on Cruise merchandise early, the Berkley Junior Women will be selling this year's cruise t-shirts on the corner of 12 and Woodward starting this Friday @ 1pm and staying open until 10pm!!! The Juniors will have the booth open, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 1pm till 10pm, also if this weekend is not a good time then you can visit them next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1pm till 4pm!! Come on up, get your gear and keep on cruisin!!!!!!!

Christmas in July!!!!!!

Every year right around this time I like to celebrate something that we call Christmas in July, Christmas means gifts and goodwill so to show our upcoming Christmas spirit we are doing a special discount to any clients or companies that book their upcoming holiday party on or before October 1st. At Farina's Christmas is our favorite holiday season and we look forward to the opportunity of spending it with you!

Prom Dress Drive

4th annual Prom Dress Drive!!!!! Please donate your gently used ( age appropriate) prom or bridesmaid dresses to the Berkley Junior Women's Club. Drop off is at Farina's Banquet Center and we are accepting dresses until the end of April. The dresses go to Hope Closet and are donated to high school girl's who can't afford new ones. This is a great cause, clean out your closets ladies!!!! Contact me for more info!

Ready for spring

Winter is the toughest time of year here at Farina's, not because of snow or cold but because it's our slow season and we are the kind of company that thrives on being busy. Right about now myself and my staff are pulling our hair out waiting for warm weather and the parties that come with it. We have been booking like crazy for the spring and summer months and it's hard to be patient and wait for the time to pass by... when we aren't busy every weekend we end up going stir crazy and that's when we get some of our best ideas. Looks like I will need to come up with another weekend filler, I am thinking garage sale? in the parking lot? citywide? Sounds like fun right? or maybe another movie night, I still have a freebie left. Who knows where this could go, keep checking in to stay updated!!

Congratulations!!!!!

Big Congratulations go out to our chef Corey and his new bride Torri, they tied the knot on Friday and we want to wish them all the happiness possible as they start their new life together as husband and wife!!

Long winter....

It has been a long and cold winter and after a much needed break I am back in action, ready to bring you my little view of the world. So much is going on at Farina's at this time that it almost seems overwhelming. After almost 4 years of working together Corey (one of our chef's) will be leaving us in the next 2 months, he has decided to join the army and see the world and he will be greatly missed. Lauren who has been doing set up for us for about 2 years has left to go to school full time in Iowa, we wish her the best of luck and she is welcome back anytime. With so many of our favorite people moving on ( tear!!) we have opened up a lot of new positions in the building and are in the middle of a hiring frenzy, it's always exciting and a little scary to hire new people. Farina's staff are like family to my mom and myself and so it's like getting a new member of our family. Our outlook is really positive and we feel strongly that we have had some great candidates and also some really good new hires!!! We look forward to cultivating a relationship with them in the future. Some other interesting Farina news is about all the updating and renovating that we are working on in the building, if you haven't been in lately come by and check out all the fun stuff that we are up to. Last but not least we have partnered up again with The Judson Center in royal oak and are using their excellent staff of people in our building!! the do a terrific job in keeping our place neat and tidy and we are glad to have them back in our building.
